Nytt styre i FISU
FISUs 32 generalforsamling ble gjennomført i forkant av Sommeruniversiaden i Shenzhen, Kina. Claude-Louis Gallien (FRA, bildet) ble valgt til President, Oleg Matytsin (RUS) er ny første visepresident, mens Stefan Bergh (SWE), Zhang Xinseng (CHN), Leonz Eder (SUI), Luciano Cabral (BRA) er visepresidenter i perioden 2011-2015.
NSIs president Karl Olav Haaland og generalsekretær Marius H. Johannessen deltok på generalforsamlingen. "Det var et spennende valg, og det er nå valgt et team som har gode forutsetninger for å kunne gjøre en bra jobb for internasjonal studentidrett i årene fremover", kommenterte Haaland etter valget.
